Responsibilities:

  • Code Development:

    • Write, test, and debug code to build and maintain software applications.

    • Identify and resolve software defects (bugs) by troubleshooting and debugging code.

    • Conduct thorough testing of software to ensure functionality, performance, and security standards are met.

    • Follow coding standards and guidelines established by the organization.

    • Assist in maintaining and updating legacy code as needed.

    • Identify and implement performance improvements in existing code and applications.

    • Participate in code reviews to improve code quality and learn best practices.

  • API Integration and Development: Develop and integrate APIs to connect various services and enhance application functionality.

  • Web Scraping: Implement web scraping techniques to extract data and integrate it into applications.

  • Collaboration:

    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other developers, to achieve project goals.

    • Assist in project management tasks, including task tracking, status reporting, and coordination with team members.

    • Effectively communicate progress, challenges, and solutions to team members and supervisors.

    • Be open to receiving feedback from clients, senior management, and team members, and be able to incorporate this feedback into your work to enhance your skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.

  • A solid understanding of essential development tools and technologies relevant to the organization's tech stack. This includes familiarity with common programming languages, frameworks, and development environments such as React, Node.js, and Visual Studio Code.

  • Experience in API integration, API development, and web scraping is required.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects: Strong skills in toggling between and juggling various tasks.

  • Problem-solving abilities: Ability to approach technical challenges logically.

  • Teamwork: Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.

  • Desire to Learn: Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and programming languages.

  • Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail and the ability to write clean, well-documented code.

  • Time Management: Capability to manage time effectively and meet project deadlines.

  • Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with a diverse set of development tools and technologies, including programming languages and frameworks like Node.js, Python, JavaScript, and Playwright; cloud platforms and services such as AWS (including AWS Lambda) and Google Cloud; and backend development.

  • Extensive coding experience demonstrated through personal projects, open-source contributions, coding competitions, and/or professional work experience, showcasing a deep commitment and passion for software development.

  • An aptitude for quickly learning and applying new tools and technologies to enhance project outcomes is highly desirable.

  • Experience at a senior developer level with a proven ability to lead projects, mentor junior developers, and make strategic technical decisions is expected.
